Due to some recent changes in international standards, effective January 2012, the gauge classification of the medical needles has been modified as follows:

Diameter 0.26 mm present gauge 32 G will become 31 G
Diameter 0.23 mm present gauge 33 G will become 32 G
Diameter 0.20 mm (expected production beginning 2012) will be 33 G

(These new gauge definitions will start being effective approx April 2012, as soon as previous packaging material is completely utilized.)

• body of the needle: stainless steel AISI 304

• Connection to the syringe: hot melted polypropylene

• Needle diameters:

  • 27 G – esternal 0.40 mm – internal 0.20 mm (no change)

  • 30 G – esternal 0.30 mm – internal 0.15 mm (no change)

  • 31 G – esternal 0.26 mm – internal 0.11 mm (previous 32G)

  • 32 G – esternal 0.23 mm – internal 0.11 mm (previous 33G)

  • 33 G – esternal 0.20 mm – internal 0.11 mm (expected during 2012)
